Japan's Government

Japan's government is a complex one akin to the United State's. Simular to the US's government, Japan's government has 3 branches: The Diet, the Cabinet, and the Courts. They function simularly to the US's branches. The Diet is the highest power with two houses within it. It deals with laws, and the votes of the people. The lower house contains 480 electives, and the upper house contains 242 electives. Citizens are capable of voting at the age of 20. Japan starts to differ in its other portions as its government is a parliamentary system. The Judicial power of Japan (or the Courts) lies within the supreme court and other lower courts. It contains a cheif and 14 cabinet apointed judges. This section works in inforcing the laws. Finally, the Cabinet works to apoint leaders, work in state projects, and more. The heads of the reginal divisions (47 in all) are elected by the people.
